Before Cheteshwar Pujara, only Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid could achieve this feat.

Please tell that Cheteshwar Pujara had to play 43 innings to touch the figure of 2000 runs. Whereas VVS Laxman achieved this feat in 41 innings, Sachin in 42 and Rahul Dravid in 53 innings. Significantly, the record of scoring the most runs in Test matches between India and Australia is in the name of Sachin Tendulkar. He has scored 3262 runs against Australia while playing from 1996-2013. Sachin Tendulkar is the only batsman who has scored more than 3000 runs against Australia.
