Binny said – Can’t ignore Bumrah’s injury 10 days before the World Cup

Bangalore. Newly-elected President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Roger Binny on Thursday reiterated that it is very important to tackle the problem of players getting frequent injuries and said that you cannot ignore Jasprit Bumrah’s injury 10 days before the World Cup. Bumrah was ruled out of the T20 World Cup three days before the Indian team left for Australia. Mohammed Shami was infected with Kovid-19 at the same time and hence BCCI had to wait till the last minute to include him in the team in place of Bumrah. Binny had raised the issue even after assuming the post of BCCI President.

That is my priority.” Binny said, “You cannot ignore Bumrah’s injury 10 days before the World Cup and then who will replace him. It’s important to deal with it.”
