Wimbledon: Hsieh Hsu-Wei and Strycova win Wimbledon’s women’s doubles title
Wimbledon. Hsieh Hsu-wei of Taiwan and Barbara Strycova of the Czech Republic won the Wimbledon women’s doubles title for the second time, defeating Elise Mertens of Belgium and Storm Hunter of Australia, here on Sunday. The pair of Su-Wei and Strycova defeated the Belgian-Australian pair in straight sets 7-5, 6-4 in the final. Su-Wei won the second match point with a backhand as the 2019 Wimbledon Championships pair broke their opponents’ serve to clinch the title.

Strycova has come out of retirement after the birth of her son and believes that this will be her last Wimbledon tournament. “I couldn’t have asked for a better ending,” Strycova said.
