Indian Premier League: Delhi Capitals would like to bat better against Rajasthan Royals

Guwahati. Delhi Capitals, who faced defeat in the first two matches due to the poor performance of the batsmen, have to bat better in the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) if they want to win against Rajasthan Royals here on Saturday. Will be In the first two matches, bowlers like Mark Wood and Alzarri Joseph terrorized Delhi batsmen like Prithvi Shaw and Sarfaraz Khan. The confidence of these talented batsmen is still shaken and in such a situation it will not be easy for them to face bowlers like Trent Boult, KM Asif and Jason Holder.

Apart from this, Rajasthan have spinners like Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal who can trouble the opposition team even in batsman-friendly conditions of Baraspara Stadium. Aggressive opener Jos Buttler is doubtful to play in this match which could be good news for Delhi. Buttler was injured while taking a catch in the last match and has got stitches on the little finger of his left hand. If Butler is not able to play, then whatever route is there, he can get a place in the playing XI. Despite the absence of Rishabh Pant, the Delhi Capitals batting looks strong on paper but batsmen like Shaw and Sarfraz are finding it difficult to face international class bowlers.

Delhi had to lose the first two matches due to the unavailability of the batsmen. The weakest part of the team is the lack of experienced Indian batsmen. If the coaching staff also wants to replace Sarfaraz with a new batsman, then Delhi have options in the form of Yash Dhull, Ripple Patel and Lalit Yadav. None of these players has consistently scored runs at a strike rate of 150. As far as Rajasthan Royals are concerned, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Sanju Samson have been in fine form and can pose a tough challenge to the likes of Anrich Norkia, Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav.Rajasthan Royals had lost their last match but will start this match as favourites.
