Left-arm wrist bowler Kuldeep took four for 14 in three overs while pacer Mustafizur Rahman (3 for 18 in his four overs) supported him well. Nitish came to the crease in the eighth over when the score was 35 for four. He scored 57 runs in 34 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes. Nitish meanwhile shared 48 runs with skipper Shreyas Iyer (42 off 37 balls) and 62 runs with Rinku Singh (23 off 16 balls). Only these three KKR batsmen reached double digits. After losing the toss, KKR did not take long to lose the top-order batsmen as well. His score in the eighth over was 35 for four. Only 29 runs were scored in the powerplay and both the openers Aaron Finch (three) and Venkatesh Iyer (six) returned to the pavilion. Finch’s return was not pleasant. He avoided being lbw, his catch was missed but left-arm pacer Chetan Sakaria (1 for 17) did not let the Australian batsman take advantage of the lifeline as he slammed the inswinger.
