Sneh Rana at career-best ranking of 6th

India’s Sneh Rana has risen to a career-best sixth position in the ICC Women’s T20 Bowlers Rankings, while Deepti Sharma has dropped a place to be third. Off-spinner Rana took two wickets for 21 runs in the tri-series final against South Africa. South African left-arm spinner Ann Mlaba overtook Deepti to grab the second spot. In the final against India, he took two wickets for 16 runs. Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has moved up one place to be at 10th position in the batsmen’s rankings.

On the other hand, Deepti Sharma has moved up two places to 23rd position and Harleen Deol has moved up 20 places to 110th position. South African all-rounder Chole Tryon remains at the top. Australia’s batsman Tahlia McGrath can become the player with the highest rating points during the Women’s T20 World Cup starting on February 10. She is 40 points short of breaking Charlotte Edwards’ record of 843 points.
