India issued new guidelines

New Delhi. In view of the threat of the new variant Omicron of the corona virus, the Indian government on Monday issued new guidelines for international travelers. It states that all passengers coming from at-risk countries will have to undergo a Kovid-19 test at the airport as soon as they arrive. The government has said that except for countries at risk, passengers from other countries will be allowed to leave the airport. They will have to do their own monitoring for 14 days. However, five percent of the passengers coming from countries that have been excluded from the danger category of Omicron will definitely be tested. Passengers coming from such countries will be tested at the airport. Passengers found positive will be isolated and their samples will be genome sequencing. Passengers found negative will be able to go home, but they will have to remain isolated for seven days. Such passengers will be tested again on the eighth day and they will have to monitor themselves for the next seven days.

The state has been asked to monitor travelers coming from abroad, increase testing and monitor corona hotspots. Significantly, the central government has made a list of 12 countries where the risk of the new variant is high. These include all countries of Europe including Britain, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Singapore, Hong Kong and Israel. Meanwhile, news has come that four people from a crew of 60 travelers from Europe have been found infected in Mathura. The hotel where they were staying has been sealed.
