Davis Cup: Australia in the semi-finals for the first time after defeating the Netherlands
Alex de Minaur and Jordan Thompson won their singles matches as Australia beat the Netherlands to reach the semi-finals of the Davis Cup for the first time since 2017. De Minaur beat Bottic van de Zandschulp 5-7, 6-3, 6-4 in the second singles match to give Australia an unassailable 2-0 lead. They will face either Spain or Croatia in the semi-finals.

Earlier, Jordan Thompson defeated Tallon Grixpur 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 to give Australia a 1-0 lead. Australia is the second most successful team in Davis Cup. He has won 28 titles so far but the last time he won the title was in 2003.
