New Delhi. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the matter of hate speeches against minorities and appeals for genocide at a ‘Dharma Sansad’ in Haridwar. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a PIL filed in the matter. A bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramana took note of the submissions of senior advocate Kapil Sibal that no action has been taken against those making hate speeches despite the registration of FIRs.

Sibal said in his arguments on Monday – I have filed this public interest litigation in relation to what happened in the Parliament of Religions on December 17 and 19 in Haridwar. We are living in difficult times where the slogan of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ has changed in the country. On this, the Chief Justice said- OK, we will hear the matter.
