India’s Anuj Kitchlu the only Asian member of the FIFA Football Agents Working Group

New Delhi. India’s Anuj Kitchlew, who has helped players like Bala Devi and Sandesh Jhingan secure European club transfers, has been selected in the FIFA Football Agents Working Group, the only Asian to join it. FIFA on Monday announced an 18-member working group to advise on the functioning of football agents in the region. It consists of representatives of professional stakeholders from around the world and the Agents Association, which will be the permanent advisory body on matters relating to football agents. The working group is dominated by Europe and Latin America.

Kolkata-based Kitchlew is a member of Spanish agency Best of You (Boys) and has been an agent for footballers since 2012. He told PTI, “We have to give our advice to the FIFA working group on how agents work in India and in this region. The workgroup has people from different walks of life and all kinds of agents. FIFA will take advice from all.” Kitchlew is currently looking after two coaches, six foreign players and 45 domestic footballers.
