Manchester United lost to Newcastle, not sure of a place in the top four in EPL
London. Manchester United suffered a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United in the English Premier League (EPL) football tournament here on Sunday. With this defeat, the team’s hopes of finishing in the top four in the EPL have suffered a setback. The top four teams in the EPL will qualify for the Champions League, Europe’s top club football competition. Arsenal and Manchester City are all but certain to finish in the top two but with Manchester United’s defeat, the race for the remaining two places has become exciting.

Joe Willock and Callum Wilson scored in the second half for Newcastle on Sunday. With this win, Newcastle’s team has reached the third position in the points table. Manchester United have the same number of points as Newcastle but are in fourth place due to a worse goal difference. Tottenham are in second place, one point behind both these teams but have to face Everton on Monday.
