Practice matches started for FIFA World Cup 2022, Spain, Portugal won the match

Doha. Spain beat Jordan 3-1 in their last warm-up match of the FIFA World Cup thanks to a brilliant performance from youngster Ansu Fati. Fati, who is trying to cement his place in the national football team, gave evidence of being in great form when he scored in the 13th minute of the match. Gavi Page and Nico Williams also scored goals for the team.

Fati, who once held the record for Spain’s youngest goalscorer, has not represented the country in an official international since October 2020. Hamza Al-Dardour scored a consolation goal for Jordan in the dying moments of the match. The Portugal team, which took the field without veteran Cristiano Ronaldo, defeated Nigeria 4-0. Bruno Fernandes scored two goals in this match.

Goncalo Ramos and João Mairio also scored for the team. Ronaldo did not take part in Wednesday’s practice session due to abdominal discomfort. In other warm-up matches, Ghana, who replaced Russia in the World Cup, beat Switzerland 2-0. Canada, who qualified for the World Cup after 36 years, came from behind to beat Japan 2-1.
