WTC 2023 Final: Team India created history, entered the WTC final for the second time in a row, will now face Australia

The fourth Test match is going on between India and Australia in Ahmedabad. But a big news has come about Team India. In fact, the Indian team has created history by making it to the finals of the World Test Championship 2023. This is the second time that Team India has reached the World Test Championship in a row. However, to reach the World Test Championship, all eyes were largely on the match being held in Ahmedabad. But good news came for Team India from New Zealand. Actually, New Zealand has defeated Sri Lanka. After this Team India has qualified for WTC 2023. Earlier, Team India had also reached the WTC finals of 2019-21. At that time Team India had to face defeat from New Zealand in the final match.

The WTC Final 2023 will be played between India and Australia. Australia had secured a place in the finals after winning the Test in Indore. Now India has also qualified for the final. The final match of WTC 2023 will be played from 7 to 11 June at the Oval ground in London. The day of June 12 has been reserved for this match. India’s defeat in the Indore Test completely changed the equation for the top 2 teams of the World Test Championship. While Australia had confirmed their place after winning in Indore, the wait for Team India was longer.

Not only this, India also had to depend on the Sri Lanka-New Zealand match. Sri Lanka had to beat New Zealand 2-0 to reach the final, which could not be done. Sri Lanka needed a 2-0 win over New Zealand to qualify for the WTC final in the tie before the final Test of the India-Australia series but their defeat in the series opener sealed India’s place. Australia had already sealed their place in the WTC final by winning the last Test match. The WTC final will be played at The Oval in London from June 7. The bowlers are not getting much help even on the fifth day on the pitch of Motera and in such a situation the match is moving towards a draw.
