Thousand years ago the destruction of Ujjain was recorded as ‘promotion of religion’!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the grand corridor near the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. But, the obsessive destruction that this Ujjain has faced thousand years ago in the name of religion cannot be ignored.

The story begins from the eleventh-twelfth century. The report of historian Minhaj Siraj is coming- ‘Iltutmish took an Islamic army and marched on Malwa (Ujjain and surroundings). Captured the fort and city of Bhilsa (today’s Vidisha). A temple there, which was completed in 300 years and which was 105 yards high, was mixed in the soil. From there he moved towards Ujjain and destroyed and destroyed the temple of Mahakal Dev. Brought to Delhi the idol of King Vikramajit of Ujjain, whose kingdom is now 1316 years old and from whose kingdom the Hindavi year begins, and other bronze idols and a stone idol of Mahakal Dev.’

We can only imagine how there must have been an outcry in the Mahakal temple on that day. It was a holy pilgrimage of Hindus for thousands of years. A learned ancestor of Padmabhushan Pandit Suryanarayan Vyas, the architect of modern Ujjain, must have closed his eyes after seeing that destruction. On that day, thousands of years of glory of Ujjain was destroyed in front of barbaric Islamic power before Maghrib prayers. If this had happened today in a world adorned with channels round the clock, we would have been witnessing the same view from Ujjain like the buildings of the World Trade Center being demolished by the horrific collision of planes in New York.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the grand corridor near the Mahakal temple in Ujjain.

What would have been done to the huge statues that are mentioned in Minhaj Siraj’s account being taken from Ujjain to Delhi? 98 years after this horrific attack on Ujjain, Ibn Battuta, a famous Moroccan traveler who arrived in Delhi in 1333, saw with his eyes the statue of King Vikramaditya lying outside the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque. He called it Jama Masjid and also mentioned the Qutub Minar built adjacent to it.

Iltutmish made frequent attacks from Sindh to Bengal and Ujjain in central India. These were not challenging wars or aggressions fought between one state and another on some issue. As we are seeing, these were clearly terrorist attacks, because the one who is being attacked does not know what is his fault? No challenge, no issue. direct attack. Looting and massacre.

You imagine then what would the common residents of Vidisha or Ujjain know that who are these attackers with strange appearance and strange tongue, why they are killing them, why they are destroying the temple, why they are looting our properties. are taking? Even if someone had informed him that he is the new and foreign king of Delhi, then for the first time after his destruction, he would have seen the terrorist Sultans!

These two words, Islam and Allah, were also heard for the first time in a horrifying noise from the mouths of the people who came in these herds. We can’t even imagine wandering through the old settlements, streets and neighborhoods of today’s disorganized and disrepaired Vidisha and Ujjain, in what form they must have existed for centuries before they were first destroyed by the Islamic army of Iltutmish. All of them now exist in ruins or desolate and anonymous mounds. Those expansions of the population of changed identities are the product of the same darkness. We want to know first of all from Minhaj Siraj, Shamsuddin Iltutmish, who was bought by Qutubuddin Aibak and married his daughter amidst the mourning in the dusty streets of Ujjain.

Minhaj sahib is telling – ‘Allah has protected the religion of Muhammad through Shamsuddin Iltutmish and got him promoted. Sultan Qutubuddin used to donate the wealth of lakhs in his time but Sultan Shamsuddin gives wealth of one hundred lakh instead of one lakh. He gives shelter to Alimas, Qazis and foreigners. From the beginning of his rule, he gives more than thousand lakhs of wealth to the Alims, Maliks, Sayyids, Amirs and Sadrs. People from different places in the world reach Delhi, which has become the center of protection of Islam and Shariat. People are fleeing to India due to the difficulties of the areas of Iran and the fear of the persecution of the Mughals.
