Tiafoe beats McDonald to reach Dallas Open quarterfinals

Dallas. Frances Tiafoe stormed into the quarter-finals of the Dallas Open tennis tournament with a straight-set win over compatriot American Mackenzie MacDonald here on Wednesday. Second seed Tiafoe beat McDonald 6-1, 6-3 in 58 minutes. World No. 14 Tiafoe will next face another American JJ Wolff, who made a 6-3, 7-6 exit from Radu Albot in the second round.

Germany’s Daniel Altmayer and Oskar Otte also defeated the American players in the second round. Altmayer defeated Zachary Szwajda 6-2, 6-4 while Otey defeated Christopher Eubanks 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.
