The IPL auction for the Indian Premier League 2023 is underway in Kochi. In this auction, on December 23, England’s fast bowler all-rounder Sam Karan was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 18.50 crore. With this, Sam Karan has become the most expensive player in the history of IPL.
 
Apart from Sam, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green has emerged as the second most expensive player. Mumbai Indians bought Cameron Green for Rs 17.50 crore. IPL auction has sold both the players the costliest. Apart from this, Ben Stokes of England has become the third most expensive player. He has been included in the team by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 16.25 crore.
There have been many players in the history of IPL who have been very expensive.
 
Sam Karan – Sam Karan has proved to be the costliest player in the history of IPL 2023. Sam Karan has been bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 18.50 crore in IPL auction 2023. With this, Sam Karan has become the most expensive player in the history of IPL.

Ben Stokes – Ben Stokes was bought by Rising Pune Supergiants during IPL 2017 after paying a price of Rs 14.5 crores. He is included in the list of most expensive players at number nine.
 
Dinesh Karthik – Indian wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik was bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2014 for Rs 14 crore.
