UP Warriors reach playoffs in WPL 2023, journey of RCB and Gujarat Giants ends

The Women’s Premier League is now inching towards its final leg. In the league, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians have already made it to the play-offs. Now UP Warriors have also confirmed the play off ticket. With this, the journey of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants in the Women’s Premier League has come to an end.
On the other hand, Delhi Capitals have defeated Mumbai Indians by nine wickets in another match played on 20 March. Although Delhi and Mumbai have already reached the play offs. Significantly, the team which will have the most points after the end of the group match, that team will directly become the finalist, while the second and third placed team will have to play the eliminator. The winning team in the Eliminator match will become the second finalist.
Competition between Gujarat and UP
Two matches were played in the Women’s Premier League on 20 March. The first match was played between Gujarat Giants and UP Warriors. In this match, Gujarat won the toss and batting first gave a target of 179 runs, which the UP team achieved with one ball remaining.
Grace Harris top-scored for UP Warriors with a 41-ball 72, which included seven fours and four sixes. Tahila McGrath scored 57 runs in 38 balls with the help of 11 fours. There was a 78-run partnership between the two for the fourth wicket.
Due to this innings, the Gujarat team could be out of the tournament.
