FIFA World Cup: Portugal beat Uruguay 2-0 in last 16, Bruno Fernandes scored two goals

With the help of two goals from Bruno Fernandes, Portugal beat Uruguay 2. 0 to enter the World Cup Football Pre Quarter Finals. Portugal, who lost 2-0, is the third team after France and Brazil to reach the last 16. Uruguay have one point from two matches and will need to beat Ghana on Friday to progress. In this match, 39-year-old Portuguese defender Pepe became the second oldest player to play in the World Cup. The oldest player to have played in the World Cup is Roger Mila, who played for Cameroon in 1994 at the age of 42.

During the match, a spectator came onto the field carrying a colorful flag and wearing a blue T-shirt with Superman on it that read “Save Ukraine”. On the back of the man’s T-shirt it was written, “Respect for Iranian women”.
