New Delhi: In view of the growing threat of a new omicron wave in the country, many states have imposed restrictions to contain the virus spread during the festive season. From night curfews to restrictions on gatherings, states are gearing up to prevent mass transmissions during New Year’s celebrations. Meanwhile, amidst all the measures, some cities have made vaccination mandatory for either a negative COVID-19 report or entry into public places. There are some cities where you cannot enter this new year without a negative COVID test or vaccination certificate. ( corona alert )

Dehradun, which is considered a popular destination among travelers especially during the festive season. Dehradun has banned the entry of visitors without negative RT-PCR report on Wednesday. Dehradun Administration negative COVID certificate must not be more than 72 hours old for entry into the district. As per the latest advisory, the report should not be more than 72 hours old.
The Hyderabad administration on Wednesday also announced that only fully vaccinated persons would be allowed to participate in the New Year celebrations at hotels and other places in Hyderabad. The advisory states that the organizers and management must ensure that no one is allowed without electronic or physical certificates of both the doses of vaccination.

The Rajasthan cabinet on Wednesday decided to make COVID vaccination mandatory for entry in public places after January 31, in addition to night curfew with immediate effect.
Haryana government has recently made complete vaccination against COVID mandatory for entry and access in public places like shopping malls, restaurants and cinema halls from January 1. The move is aimed at motivating people to get a second shot of the coronavirus vaccine. ( corona alert )
