Wearing the traditional Himachali Chola Dora, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kedarnath, interacted with the workers

This dress was a handmade dress made by the women of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, which was gifted to them during their recent visit to Himachal Pradesh.PM Modi had promised women that he would wear them whenever he went to a cold place.

 

PM Modi held free-wheeling interactions with working people working on development projects. He asked them about their native states, benefits of welfare schemes of the government and also inquired about their COVID vaccination status. Prime Minister Narendra Modi He will lay the foundation stone of several projects in Kedarnath and Badrinath Dhams, including the 9.7 km long Gaurikund-Kedarnath ropeway and road widening of National Highway 7 that connects Hindu pilgrimage centers like Rishikesh, Joshimath and Badrinath to Dehradun and further to Chandigarh and National Highway 107 From Rudraprayag to Gaurikund. Both Kedarnath and Badrinath temples were decorated with flowers in preparation for his visit.

Ahead of PM Modi’s visit, officials have tightened security in Badrinath. He will reach Badrinath Dham at 11.30 am. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) Additional Director General (ADG) Manoj Rawat said, “PM Modi will take stock of the ongoing construction works under the master plan in Badrinath. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the ITBP personnel posted on the Mana border regarding this.
