On World Hindi Day, &TV actors share their experiences of appreciation for Hindi language

World Hindi Day is celebrated every year on 10 January to encourage the Hindi language across the world. Hindi is spoken prominently in different provinces of India, along with this language is also becoming increasingly popular all over the world. On the occasion of World Hindi Day, the cast of &TV including Shubhangi Atre (Angoori Bhabi, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain), Himani Shivpuri (Katori Amma, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan) and Ambareesh Babi (Ramesh Prasad Mishra, and Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai) presented their Told about the special and interesting moments when he met foreigners trying their hand at Hindi and it completely stunned him.

Shubhangi Atre alias ‘Bhabiji is at home’ Angoori Bhabi said, “There have been times when I went out of India and people recognized me and greeted me by saying ‘Namaste Angoori Bhabi’. A similar incident happened in Indonesia with a fan. A lady came up to me and in her unique tone she caught the catchphrase of Angoori Bhabi ‘Sahi Pakte Hain!’ tried to speak. It was such a lovely moment that I hugged him. I am sure that our television shows are watched all over the world and play a vital role in making Hindi so popular all over the world.”

Himani Shivpuri, Which is ‘Happu Ki Ultan Paltan Katori is playing the role of Amma in he said, “Hindi is a beautiful Indian language and I have loved it since childhood, as my father Dr. Bhatt was a teacher of Hindi and Sanskrit at The Doon School. Working in this industry and trying to speak Hindi in different accents and dialects further increased my love for this language. Right now, my katori amma ki kanpuriya Hindi has made me popular in India and abroad. I remember once I met a foreign young man, who came to me and tried to say something, but no one could understand his point. But after he tried a little more, I understood what he was trying to say ‘Lemon squeezed denge’. I would really like to appreciate her efforts and her love for Hindi catchphrases. Hindi has made its mark across the globe and dialogues from Hindi shows and Bollywood films are becoming increasingly popular.”

Ambareesh Bobby aka &TV’sAnd brother what’s going on?’ K Ramesh Prasad Mishra said, “In one of the stories of our show, we were accompanied by European belle dancer Egiza Khamareva, who played Sandra. It was a unique experience working with him, but we also had a lot of fun teaching him Hindi on the sets. She was very excited to learn Hindi and learned some popular Hindi words in a hurry, such as Namaste, Masala, Dost, Mast etc. She started greeting everyone in Hindi and everyone enjoyed her firangi tone. Teaching him Hindi was not only a wonderful experience for us, but we were also very happy to see his interest in Hindi and the thrill of learning our language.”
