Veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh on Friday said that he is not averse to indulging in politics, but would like to give a lot of thought before taking a final call on such a move. Recently, Congress’ Punjab unit chief and Harbhajan’s former India partner Navjot Singh Sidhu posted a picture with him on Twitter and captioned it with a picture full of possibilities. This intensified the speculation of his joining the party. The cricketer said that he has not yet taken any decision on the matter. To be honest, I don’t know what’s in store for me. Will contest Punjab state assembly elections, which will keep him busy
He said that if I join politics, then how and in what form, I need to find out those things because the main aim is to help people, if I do anything. Though he did not want to talk openly about it, people said that there is very little chance that he will contest the Punjab state assembly elections due to some cricket and media commitments which will keep him busy. The enthusiastic former player said that he would not like his association with the game to end completely with retirement. As far as cricket is concerned, I will stick to the game. I am open to coaching, mentoring IPL teams, maybe playing some experienced cricket.

There is a high chance that Harbhajan could work as a mentor with Kolkata Knight Riders or Mumbai Indians, where he had a stellar 10 years as a cricketer. He is also working on his autobiography which will be released in the next six months. Oh yes, I have almost finished my autobiography.
