Mumbai Shiv Sena Lok Sabha member Rahul Shewale was accused of rape by a 26-year-old girl on Thursday, while the MP denied it. police gave this information. An official said that the woman lodged a complaint of rape against Shewale at the Sakinaka police station in Mumbai.
According to the official, no FIR has been registered yet and the police have not started investigation on the complaint. Shewale issued a statement refuting the allegation of rape and said that a conspiracy was hatched to malign his political image.
