Miami Open: Radukanu, Stephens and Murray out in the first round of the tournament

Miami Gardens. Former US Open champions Ema Radukanu and Saloni Stephens crashed out in the first round of the Miami Open while world number one Eiga Swiatek pulled out of the tournament with a rib injury. In the US Open, 2019 champion Bianca Andreescu defeated Raducanu 6–3, 3–6, 6–2. Andreescu will next face 10th-ranked Maria Sakkari, who received a bye in the first round.

In another women’s singles match, Shelby Rogers defeated Stephens 6-4, 3-6, 6-2. Rogers will next face Australian Open champion and world number two Aryna Sabalenka. Meanwhile, in the men’s section, Dusan Lajovic defeated three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray 6-4, 7-5.
