Vinesh Phogat’s career has been like this
Vinesh Phogat was born on 25 August 1994 in Charkhi-Dadri district of Haryana. Vinesh is the daughter of wrestler Rajpal Phogat. Women wrestlers who brought laurels to the country like Geeta Phogat, Babita Phogat and Ritu Phogat are her cousins. All the women wrestlers of the Phogat family are among the most popular Indian women wrestlers.

Vinesh always had an atmosphere of wrestling at home. Due to this environment, she came in the field of wrestling. In the year 2013, at the age of just 19, he won a silver medal in the 51 kg category at the Youth Wrestling Championship held in Johannesburg. With this victory, everyone’s attention increased towards this young female wrestler.

After this victory, his spirits were high again. He brought laurels to the country by winning a bronze medal in the 48kg category at the 2014 Asian Games held at Incheon. Since then Vinesh has been continuously climbing the ladder of success. Vinesh currently has more than a dozen medals in her kitty. Vinesh, a two-time Olympian, also has two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games, one gold at the Asian Games, and a bronze at the World Championships. She is also the first Indian woman wrestler to win gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games.

Vinesh has been awarded the Arjuna Award from the Government of India for his excellent performance in wrestling. He has received many awards and honors at national and international level. Vinesh Phogat got training from her uncle Mahavir Phogat.
