In the year 2018, Satwik was successful in winning the silver medal in the doubles tournament, playing in pair with Chirag Shetty. In the Commonwealth Games held at Gold Coast, Australia, Satwik was successful in winning the gold medal in the mixed team. After this, he was again paired with Chirag in the Asian Games played in Jakarta. However, he could not win in this tournament. But he became paired with Chirag.
 
The duo made headlines in 2019 when Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen of China were defeated by Satwiksairaj and Chirag Shetty. With this win, both of them won the Thailand Open doubles title.
