Bob Odenkirk, star of ‘Better Call Saul,’ implodes on set

LOS ANGELES — “Better Call Saul” star Bob Odenkirk imploded on the show’s New Mexico set on Tuesday and must be hospitalized.

Team individuals considered a rescue vehicle that required the 58-year-old entertainer to a clinic, where he remained Tuesday night, an individual near Odenkirk who was not approved to talk openly on the matter disclosed to The Associated Press.

It was not quickly clear what caused the breakdown, or how long Odenkirk may be hospitalized.

“Better Call Saul,” the side project prequel to “Breaking Bad,” has been shooting its 6th and last season, which is set to air on AMC one year from now.

Like “Breaking Bad,” “Better Call Saul” is set in and for the most part shot in Albuquerque.

An email shipped off a delegate of AMC looking for more data or remark was not quickly returned.

Odenkirk has been selected for four Emmys for playing the title character, a down-on-his-karma legal advisor named Jimmy McGill who turns out to be progressively bad and receives the alias Goodman.

Michael McKean, Odenkirk’s co-star who played his sibling on the show, was among many wishing Odenkirk well via online media.

Odenkirk’s hospitalization was first detailed by TMZ.

Before the “Saul” job, which he likewise played on “Breaking Bad,” Odenkirk was most popular for “Mr. Show With Bob and David,” the sketch satire series he co-made with David Cross that initially circulated on HBO from 1995 to 1998.

He has won two Emmys, for his composition on “The Ben Stiller Show” and on “Saturday Night Live.”
