Odisha FC hold FC Goa to a draw
Odisha FC managed to hold FC Goa to a 1-1 draw despite playing with ten men in the last 23 minutes of an Indian Super League (ISL) football match here on Monday. The Odisha team fell behind in the second minute of the match itself. FC Goa take the lead through Noah Wael Sadoui. However, this advantage of the team came to an end in the first half. Brazil striker Diego Mauricio scored an excellent goal in the 43rd minute to give Odisha FC an equaliser. It was Mauricio’s 10th goal of the season and took him joint top goalscorer of the season.
Sahil Panwar of Odisha FC had to leave the field in the 67th minute after being shown two yellow cards but in the last 23 minutes, 10 players of the team did not give FC Goa a chance to score. After this draw, Odisha FC are seventh with 24 points from 17 matches with seven wins, three draws and seven losses, while FC Goa are fourth with 27 points from 17 matches with eight wins, three draws and six losses.
