Riddhima Tiwari says that the year 2021 definitely ends on a positive note giving a hopeful future for women

The decision of the Union Cabinet to raise the legal age of marriage for women from 18 to 21 years has generated a lot of reaction. Actress Ridhima Tiwari welcomes the decision and tells us why she feels.

“The year 2021 certainly ends on a positive note, which makes the years to come favorable and hopeful for women, as the legal age of marriage is now 21 years. The future looks promising for the downtrodden and downtrodden. This is a wonderful step taken by the government to check gender inequality and improve literacy rate among women cut off from access to education and livelihood after marriage at an early age. The motto of women empowerment was finally put into practice.” Says the actor known for TV shows like Sasural Genda Phool, Do Dil Ek Jaan and Ghulam.

Talking more about how she thinks this change will affect the society, Ridhima adds, “This is going to work miraculously in their favor in terms of women’s health and financial independence. The move will also curb abuse of minors, child marriages and ensure healthy pregnancies.
