In his address after inaugurating the year-long joint celebrations of the Sivagiri pilgrimage and the golden jubilee of Brahmo Vidyalaya at his official residence at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg here, the Prime Minister also said that after 25 years the country attained independence. If we celebrate the 100th anniversary, then India’s achievements should be global and for this its vision should also be global.

He said that when many countries, many civilizations of the world deviated from their religion, then spiritualism was replaced by materialism, but the sages, saints and gurus of India always refined and promoted thoughts and practices. He said, “The India we are seeing today, the journey of 75 years of independence that we have seen, it is the result of contemplation and brainstorming of the same great men. The path shown by our sages of independence, today India is getting closer to those goals. called upon. He said, “Our achievements in the journey of these hundred years should be global and for that our vision should also be global.” Have even seen a glimpse of it. He said, “The answer to the questions of the future before humanity can come from the experiences of India and the cultural strength of India.”

He urged saints and spiritual leaders to carry forward the great tradition, saying they can play a “huge role” in it. Both the Sivagiri pilgrimage and the Brahmo Vidyalaya were started with the patronage and guidance of the great social reformer Sree Narayana Guru. The Sivagiri pilgrimage is organized every year for three days from 30 December to 1 January at Sivagiri, Thiruvananthapuram. The pilgrimage focuses on eight themes namely education, cleanliness, piety, handicrafts, trade and commerce, agriculture, science and technology and organized effort. This pilgrimage was started by some devotees in the year 1933 but has now become one of the major events in South India. Every year lakhs of devotees from all over the world irrespective of caste, creed, religion and religion come to Sivagiri to participate in the pilgrimage.
