London. Former batsman and head coach Rahul Dravid on Tuesday said that the incredibly high number of matches in recent years has forced the Indian team to “use” too many players across formats. On the eve of the World Test Championship (WTC) final against Australia at ‘The Oval’, Dravid talked about his experiences and his journey of coaching the Indian team. Dravid told ‘Star Sports’, “We have got some experienced players, we have tried many young players during the last 18 months. We had to use more players due to three different formats and the number of matches played by the Indian team.

This former India captain said, “Our cricket system has a lot of players coming in and also going out. It’s been really exciting and a great learning experience for me as well.” He said, ”Yeah, it’s been a lot of fun and I’ve really enjoyed it. During this I got a chance to work with a lot of players and build better relationships with a bigger group. I have also learned a lot.
