Indian shooters win two more gold medals at Suhal Junior World Cup
Suhal. India’s pistol shooters continued their impressive run at the ISSF Junior World Cup, winning two more gold medals here on Tuesday. India won these medals in the men’s 25m event and the women’s 25m team event. In the men’s 25m pistol event, Amanpreet Singh won the gold medal with a score of 586, while in the women’s 25m event, Meghna Sadula, Payal Khatri and Simranpreet Kaur Brar won the gold medal with a score of 1719. The Indian team has so far won five gold, four silver and two bronze medals and continues to top the medal tally.

There are still two days of play left in the tournament. In the women’s individual event, three Indian shooters Meghna, Payal and Divyanshi reached the finals. In the final, Meghna finished fourth with 22 points, Payal fifth with 18 points and Divyanshi seventh with 11 points. In the men’s individual event, besides Amanpreet, Swaraj Bhondave was eighth with 574, Meshak Ponnudurai was ninth with 574, Abhimanyu Yadav was 13th with 571 and Ankit Tomar was 14th with 569. In the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions, Avinash Yadav finished 28th with a score of 573, Parikshit Singh Brar 31st with 572, Ramanya Tomar 40th with 567 and Harsh Singh 45th with 566.
