Kabaddi players will be able to represent Junior World Championship, High Court gives permission

New Delhi. The Delhi High Court has allowed two young kabaddi players, who were ruled out by the authorities due to ‘minor injuries’, to participate in the Junior World Kabaddi Championship (Boys) to be held in Iran. Now with the decision of the court, he has got a chance to represent India in the tournament. The High Court said that every player wants to get a chance to play in the World Cup in his career. The court said that not sending both the players to represent the country without any reasonable grounds would be demoralizing not only for them but for the entire team.

Justice Pratibha M Singh, while hearing a petition filed by 17-year-old Rohit Kumar and 19-year-old Narendra, asked the administrators of kabaddi body AKFI and Sports Authority of India to take immediate steps to collect the necessary documents so that the petitioner can travel with the team to Iran.
