PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate Infinity Forum today, more than 70 countries will participate

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Infinity Forum, a thought leadership forum on fintech, via video conferencing at 10 am on Friday, December 3. The event is being hosted by the International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA) under the aegis of the Government of India in association with GIFT City and Bloomberg on December 3 and 4, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a statement. More than 70 countries will participate in the forum. Indonesia, South Africa and the UK are the partner countries in the first edition of the Forum. The forum will bring together the world’s leading minds in policy, business and technology and discuss how technology and innovation can be leveraged by the fintech industry to drive inclusive growth and serve humanity at large, the statement said. Fintech Beyond Next also included

Additionally, the forum’s agenda will focus on the theme of ‘Beyond’ with various sub-themes including FinTech Beyond Borders, in which governments and businesses will focus beyond geographic boundaries in developing a global stack to promote financial inclusion. Fintech beyond finance, by convergence with emerging sectors such as spacetech, greentech and agritech to drive sustainable growth. This will also include Fintech Beyond Next. With a focus on how quantum computing could impact the nature of the fintech industry in the future and foster new opportunities. It may be noted that key speakers at the Forum include Finance Ministers of Malaysia and Indonesia, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and MD of Reliance Industries, Masayoshi Son, Chairman and CEO of SoftBank Group, Arvind Krishna, Chairman and CEO of IBM Corporation and Kotak Mahindra Bank. NITI Aayog, Invest India, FICCI and NASSCOM are some of the key participants of this year’s forum, the PMO mentioned in its statement. International Financial Services Centers Authority (IFSCA), headquartered in GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. It has been established under the International Financial Services Centers Authority Act, 2019. The organization works as a unified authority for the development and regulation of financial products, financial services and financial institutions in the International Financial Services Center (IFSC) in India.
