Khawaja backs Warner running in poor form

Australia opener Usman Khawaja believes just three innings will not be enough to question the form of David Warner, who looked a bit troubled after being hit on the head by a Mohammed Siraj bouncer on the first day of the second Test here. Warner has so far scored scores of 1, 10 and 15 in the series with Mohammed Shami getting him out twice on full length deliveries. This raised questions about Warner’s technique but Khawaja, who played an innings of 81 runs, defended his opening partner.

Warner faced 44 balls, but he did not look so comfortable. He said in the press conference after the match, “I do not agree with what you are saying. He had hit two fours on Ashwin in the last match but then he got out lbw so he is showing aggression. “It is not easy to go to the crease and start that too. It’s never easy when you’re starting out, so today I was lucky to hit two boundaries and get into the groove. ,

Khawaja said, “Sometimes you cannot do that and it becomes very difficult. So three innings is not enough for me. There is still a long way to go in this Test series. Khawaja has full faith in Warner’s ability to make a comeback. He said, “Davey has been such a great player for such a long time. He does this every time. ”””” He said that Warner was looking a little upset after being hit on the head, so he did not come on the field. He said, “I think the medical staff will have to see him tomorrow. He is a bit tired at the moment. The ball hit his arm and hit him on the head and he got a little upset because of which he did not come on the field.
