11 Army boxers reach finals of Men’s Youth National Boxing

Gangtok. Eleven boxers from the Army Sports Promotion Board (SSCB) advanced to the finals of the 6th Youth Men’s National Boxing Championship here on Sunday. SSCB’s Armaan (80kg) put up a brilliant show in the ring to defeat Prashant Khatana of Madhya Pradesh by unanimous decision. He will face Haryana’s Ishan Kataria in the final. SSCB’s Rishi also performed brilliantly in the semi-finals and reached the final after defeating Haryana’s Vishesh 3-0.

Apart from Armaan and Rishi, Aryan (51kg), Ashish (54kg), Nikhil (57kg), M Hanthoi (60kg), Ankush (67kg), Preet Malik (71kg), Yogesh (75kg) joined the army. ), Aryan (86kg) and Harsh (92kg) have also reached the finals. Boxers from Haryana also impressed with their stamina in the semi-finals. Apart from Asian junior champion Bharat Jun (92kg), other boxers from the state will contest in the final. Jun defeated Avachal Shai of Madhya Pradesh in his semi-final bout.
