Big information came out about Rinku Singh, IPL star player got the job of mopping

New Delhi. Describing his problems, Rinku Singh had said that he was once told that you do not need to tell anyone that you mop in the ‘tuition centre’. Come in the morning, clean up and leave. No one will know. These were the words of Rinku’s father before he started playing for Uttar Pradesh under-16. Rinku, however, did not like the idea.

Belonging to a very poor family, Rinku’s father Khanchand works in the delivery of cooking gas cylinders and his father’s earnings were not enough for a family of seven, due to which he and his four brothers had to live meagerly. Had to work Rinku has seen a lot of tough times but on Sunday, he made headlines by hitting five consecutive sixes in the IPL match.

Rinku had said some time back from the official YouTube channel of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), “I am not educated enough to do any work on the basis of studies. It is only cricket that can take me forward and it was not an option but the only option. The 25-year-old from Aligarh, Rinku hit Uttar Pradesh teammate Yash Dayal for five consecutive sixes to give KKR a surprise win. Over the years Rinku’s family has been able to overcome poverty with IPL money but now he will enjoy being the star of IPL.

Rinku said after his match-winning innings, “My father struggled a lot, I come from a farming family. Every ball I hit out of the ground was dedicated to those people who sacrificed so much for me. Rinku suffered a serious knee injury while taking the second run in a match while playing for Uttar Pradesh during the 2021 domestic season. Went and had surgery. His father was so depressed that he stopped eating for a few days. Recalling his old days, Rinku said, “To play inter-colonial matches or club matches, you needed to save money to buy a ball and my father would never give me money. Once when I went to play a match in Kanpur, my mother borrowed Rs 1000 from the local grocery store to pay for my expenses.

He told, “All five of us brothers have been beaten up a lot by our father. My father used to deliver LPG cylinders and when he was not available for the job, we brothers had to work in his place and father would sit with the stick till we made the delivery. It takes a lot of strength to lift. Sitting behind, Rinku and one of his brothers would often deliver heavy cylinders on their bikes to people’s homes and hotels. Rinku said, “We five brothers have helped a lot in father’s work.”

So when did his father stop beating him for neglecting studies and playing cricket. Rinku said, “DPS Aligarh had organized a tournament called the School World Cup and I was declared the ‘Man of the Tournament’. This was the first time papa came to the ground to see me. I was presented a motorcycle in front of him, after that day he never hit. At that time he was not ready for that level. However, he was ready by 2012 and scored 154 on his debut in the Vijay Merchant Trophy.

Such innings in BCCI tournaments gave him the belief that with hard work he can play elite cricket. Within a few years he was in the Uttar Pradesh Under-19 team and in the first year (2014) he was directly inducted into the state ODI team and never looked back. Once you start playing competitive cricket there are certain investments and kit is one of them. Rinku said, “At least five or six people actually helped me. My childhood coaches Masood Amini, Mohammad Zeeshan who provided me complete kit including cricket bat. Arjun Singh Fakira, Neel Singh and Swapnil Jain are some of the people I will be forever grateful to.” In the last three years, Rinku has shifted his family to their new apartment in the city, first with the IPL money. He has cleared all the debts of his family.
