India will take on Mongolia in the first match of the Intercontinental Cup

The Indian men’s football team will take on Mongolia on the opening day of the Inter-Continental Cup, starting June 9, at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Apart from India and Mongolia, teams from Lebanon and Vanuatu will also participate in this competition. Both these teams will also face each other on the first day of the tournament. This will also be the opening match of the tournament. This competition is being organized in connection with the preparations for the AFC Asian Cup 2023 to be held in Qatar.

The Indian team will soon take part in the SAFF Championship to be held in Bengaluru from June 21 to July 3. The Indian team will participate in a training camp from May 15 in Bhubaneswar under the supervision of head coach Igor Stimac to prepare for both these tournaments. The four teams will face each other in the Intercontinental Cup and the top two teams will play the final on June 18. After facing Mongolia, India will play Vanuatu on June 12 and Lebanon on June 15.
