World Cup 2023 Schedule: Why the schedule of the World Cup is not being released, the big reason came to the fore
The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is to be held in India. Preparations are also being done for this. However, its schedule has not been released yet. In the midst of all this, a big update has come out regarding this. International Cricket Council (ICC) chief Geoff Allardyce revealed that the ICC will publish the schedule for the ODI World Cup 2023 as soon as possible, but added that they are yet to receive the schedule from the host country India.

why delay
It is believed that it is getting delayed because of Pakistan. There is a dispute with Pakistan regarding the Asia Cup right now. However, Jay Shah, secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), had earlier confirmed that the schedule would be released during the ongoing World Test Championship final (June 7 to June 11). But now Allardyce’s statement is once again indicating a delay. India will host the 50-over World Cup in October-November this year, but there is no official update on the schedule and venues yet.

what happened before
The ICC published the schedules of the last two 50-over World Cup tournaments (2015 and 2019) more than a year in advance. However, Allardyce insisted that he needed to consult with the participating teams and broadcasters before announcing the schedule and delivering a successful event. “I think even today (Wednesday) we will be getting programs from the host, and we’ve got a bit of consultation to do with all the participating teams and broadcasters,” he said. Then we will publish it as soon as possible. He said that we have to work together with the host.
