BNP Paribas Open: Alcaraz beats Medvedev to win Indian Wells title
Indian Wells. Spain’s 19-year-old Carlos Alcaraz beat Daniil Medvedev 6. 3, 6. 2 to win the BNP Paribas Open title and regained the number one ranking. He will move from second to first while Novak Djokovic will slip to second in the ATP Tour rankings to be released on Monday.

Djokovic could not enter America due to not getting the Corona vaccine. In the women’s final, Elena Rybakina defeated Arina Sabalenka 7. 6, 6. Won the title by defeating 4. It was world number two Sabalenka’s second defeat of the year. Alcaraz became the youngest top player in ATP history after winning the US Open last year.
