New Delhi. Bank employees will once again strike to protest against the privatization plans of the central government and to save companies at the cost of public sector banks. Last month, bank workers went on strike for two days. Bank employees’ union has announced a two-day strike in the last week of next month. Central Trade Unions (CTU) and All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) and other organizations have jointly announced a bank strike on February 23 and 24. Employees of all government and private banks across the country will participate in the strike.

AIBEA general secretary CH Venkatachalam issued a letter to all bank associations and members informing this and asked them to be ready to join the strike. He said the United Forum of Bank Unions went on strike on March 15 and 16 last year to protest against the privatization of two state-owned banks. After this, a strike was held on 16 and 17 December 2021 in protest against the Banking Law Amendment Bill 2021. Now be ready for strike again on 23rd and 24th February.
If the organizations go on strike on 23rd and 24th February as per their schedule, then in February, from 23rd to 27th, ie, four days out of five days, the work in the banks will be stalled. There will be no work in the bank due to strike on 23rd and 24th and 4th Saturday and Sunday on 26th and 27th February. During the strike on 16th and 17th of December last month, the work was stalled for four days and banking operations were affected.
