The inaugural season of the ‘Beach Soccer (Football)’ National Championship will be held in February next year. The ‘Beach Soccer’ committee of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Tuesday recommended setting up a sub-committee to look into the operational aspects of hosting the tournament in the first fortnight of February. The committee has asked the AIFF secretariat to prepare rules for beach soccer and invite all state associations to send their entries for the tournament.

According to a release from the AIFF, “The committee also felt that beach soccer players should be different from regular footballers and players who are registered for professional tournaments like Santosh Trophy, Indian Super League and I-League should be allowed to participate in the same. should not be allowed to be taken.
