World Cup 2023: South Africa qualified directly, now qualifier matches will be played between these teams
ODI World Cup is being organized in India this year. For this, continuous preparations are being made by the BCCI. Amidst all this, 8 teams have qualified for the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup. South Africa managed to qualify as the eighth team. This time a total of 10 teams will participate in this World Cup. At present, two places are left for which qualifier matches will be organized among 10 teams. Out of these, the top 3 teams will be included in the ninth and tenth positions.

Apart from India, the eight teams that have confirmed their places include New Zealand, England, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Australia, Afghanistan and South Africa. Having the right to host, India qualified directly. South Africa was being seen in a state of doubt. South Africa have sealed the final automatic qualification spot for the World Cup as Ireland’s hopes were dashed after rain washed out the first one-day international against Bangladesh on Tuesday.

For the ninth and tenth teams, qualifier matches will be played from June 18 to July 9 in Zimbabwe. All eyes will be on Sri Lanka and West Indies as both the teams are yet to qualify. Apart from these two, qualifiers from Zimbabwe, Netherlands, Oman, UAE, Ireland, Nepal, Scotland and America will also play. In the midst of all this, big information about the World Cup 2023 is coming out. According to a report, there may be a high-voltage cricket match between India and Pakistan on 15 October. As per the information, the tournament opener will be played between last edition’s finalists England and New Zealand on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
