Lionel Messi passes 100 goals for Argentina
Santiago del Estero. Lionel Messi crossed the 100-goal mark for Argentina on Tuesday by scoring a hat-trick in the first half of an international friendly against Curacao. In their second match after winning the World Cup last December, Argentina thrashed Curacao 7-0. Messi, 35, completed the 100-goal mark in international matches by opening the team’s account in the 20th minute of the match.

He then scored goals in the 33rd and 37th minutes as well. Messi now has 102 goals at international level and is only two players behind in the list of most goals scored by national teams. The list is topped by Cristiano Ronaldo with 122 goals and Ali Daei of Iran with 109 goals.
