India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in Blind T20 Cricket World Cup

India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets at the Barabati Stadium here on Tuesday to register their third consecutive win in the third T20 Cricket World Cup for the Blind. Electing to field first after winning the toss, the Indian bowlers sent Bangladesh openers Salman and Abid to the pavilion in the first three overs. Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman and Mohammad Arif stitched the innings by adding 84 runs for the third wicket. This partnership was broken when Arif was run out in the 13th over. He scored 33 runs in 33 balls.

After supporting Rehman, Tanzil came down and both shared a 61-run partnership to take the score to 166 runs. Rahman, who lost the wicket on the last ball of the innings, played an innings of 75 runs in 53 balls. Tanzil remained unbeaten on 20 runs. In response, Indian openers T Durga Rao and Nakul Badnaik got the team off to a brisk start with a 95-run partnership in 8.3 overs. Nakul was the first batsman to be dismissed after scoring 36 runs in 24 balls. Durga Rao (73) continued to score runs at a rapid pace. When he retired in the 12th over and returned to the pavilion, India were just 15 runs away from the target. Captain Ajay Kumar Reddy and Sunil Ramesh took India to the target in 13.1 overs.
