Seventh season of TNPL between June-July, this time players will be auctioned
The seventh season of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) will be held between June-July 2023, with a player auction replacing the current player draft system. One of the important decisions taken in the recent meeting of the Governing Council of TNPL is to hold the player auction. The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association gave this information in a press release. Also, it was decided to implement the Decision Review System (DRS) of the umpires in the next season of TNPL in 2023.
Each team will get an amount of Rs 70 lakh in the auction. According to the release, every player who wishes to take part in the tournament will have to register himself between December 28, 2022 and January 20, 2023. The Governing Council of TNPL also decided that they will recommend to the Apex Council that if after registration a player does not participate in the tournament due to injury, commitment to the Indian team and other commitments of the Cricket Board of India, BCCI’s limited He will not be considered for inclusion in the Tamil Nadu team participating in the one-over tournament.
