Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan Cricket Board’s new move, Team India can play its matches here

There is constant ruckus regarding the Asia Cup. The ruckus started when Jay Shah, the secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, had clearly stated that Team India would not tour Pakistan to play in the Asia Cup. After this, Pakistan is in complete panic. Pakistan is also afraid that the hosting of Asia Cup 2023 may not be snatched from it. This is the reason that Pakistan has made a new move to host the Asia Cup and feed the Indian team as well in the tournament. If this ploy of Pakistan is successful, then it will also be able to host the Asia Cup and India can play its matches even without visiting Pakistan.

 

According to the information, the Pakistan Cricket Board is considering to hold some Asia Cup matches in the UAE as well. It is clear that if this plan is successful, then Pakistan will organize some matches in UAE and some matches in its own country. In such a situation, India can play against itself in UAE. However, the final decision on this will be taken in the meeting of the Asian Cricket Council. Even before this a meeting was held on 4th February. But no decision was taken regarding the Asia Cup in that meeting. The news is that a major decision can be taken on this issue in the next meeting of the Asia Cricket Council. But somewhere, Pakistan is still confused about the Asia Cup.

 

Pakistan Cricket Board President Najam Sethi was also asked questions regarding the hosting of the Asia Cup. He said that at the moment it is an unresolved matter. A decision on this can be taken in the ACC meeting to be held next month. A question was also asked regarding hosting, in response to which he said that what happened in the last meeting, what should I tell. There was no solution. However, sources are also claiming that after India’s refusal, the Asia Cup can now be held in 2 countries. Some matches can also be played in UAE.
