BCCI took a big decision to upgrade cricket stadiums before the World Cup, this is how the stadium will get a new look

The match between India and Pakistan will be held on October 15 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Stadiums in India will be renovated even before the start of the World Cup matches. For this, now the Board of Control for Cricket in India has taken a new decision. The BCCI has drawn up a two-phase plan to upgrade cricket stadiums across the country.

 

The BCCI has taken this decision in the 19th BCCI Council meeting on July 7. In its first phase, all the venues announced for the ICC will be discussed. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) held its 19th Apex Council meeting on Friday, July 7, 2023 in Mumbai. An official statement has been issued after this meeting. It said that the BCCI has taken many important decisions in the meeting.

 

BCCI has decided that it will frame a policy for its players and retired players regarding their participation in foreign T20 leagues, so that players can participate in foreign leagues.

 

This year, in September 2023, the Asian Games are going to be held in Hangzhou, China, in which the board will send both men’s and women’s teams. Only after this, the ICC One Day World Cup is also to be held, in such a situation, the BCCI has decided that the players participating in the World Cup will not be sent to the Asian Games.

 

BCCI to introduce impact player rule in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy next season. It has been decided to continue with the Indian Premier League with two changes. Under the rule, the teams have to select their playing XI with 4 players before the toss. Teams may use an Impact Player at any time during the match. Let us tell you that in the last season of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, a team could use an impact player only before the 14th over of the innings.

 

The board has decided to have two bouncers per over in the upcoming Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy to balance the competition between bat and ball.

 

The opening match of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, featuring defending champions England and runners-up New Zealand, will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5.
