Only after this, the ICC One Day World Cup is also to be held, in such a situation, the BCCI has decided that the players participating in the World Cup will not be sent to the Asian Games.
 
BCCI to introduce impact player rule in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy next season. It has been decided to continue with the Indian Premier League with two changes. Under the rule, the teams have to select their playing XI with 4 players before the toss. Teams may use an Impact Player at any time during the match. Let us tell you that in the last season of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, a team could use an impact player only before the 14th over of the innings.
