Before the elections, the Channi government of Punjab again gave a big gift, farmers’ loan waived up to Rs 2 lakh
Chandigarh | Punjab Assembly Elections 2022: Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi has once again been kind to the farmers amidst the politics of Punjab and the electoral turmoil. Before the assembly elections (Punjab Assembly Elections 2022), CM Channi does not want to leave any chance to woo the public. Well whatever it is, but it is happening to the poor people. The Punjab government has announced to waive loans of farmers up to Rs 2 lakh. Not only this, taking another big decision, the Punjab government has also announced to cancel the cases registered against all those farmers till December 31, who had protested against the black agriculture laws in the state.

Government will spend 2 thousand crores
Announcing on Friday, Punjab CM Channi has said that there are about two lakh families on which the government will spend Rs 2,000 crore. With this, the loan of up to 2 lakh of land owners up to 5 acres will be completely waived. The Channi government has also waived off loans up to two lakhs of banks pledging land.

It is worth noting that in Punjab Legislative Assembly elections are to be held next year, in such a situation all the parties are engaged in wooing the public. Delhi CM Kejriwal’s AAP party has also promised free electricity and water to farmers and poor people if AAP government is formed in Punjab.
