Brazilian di Grassi wins Formula E race in Berlin

The Brazilian Lucas di Grassi won the first of two races at the Formula E season finale in Berlin. The Audi driver prevailed on the Tempelhofer Feld on Saturday ahead of Edoardo Mortara (Switzerland / Venturi) and Mitch Evans (Australia / Jaguar) and made a leap forward in the overall standings.
Last race on Sunday
Although Formula E is already in its seventh season, this season is the first time that it is officially about the world championship title. In the extremely close drivers’ standings, the Dutchman Nyck de Vries (95 points) in the Mercedes, who remained without points on Saturday, is ahead of Mortara (92).
Many other drivers still have a chance of winning the title, including Grassi, who is only eight points behind. The best German on Saturday was Maximilian Günther (Oberstdorf / BMW) in eighth right in front of the three-time DTM champion Rene Rast (Minden / Audi) and Andre Lotterer (Duisburg / Porsche).
The season finale takes place on Sunday.
